The module is intended to be a first step as professionals prepare to welcome every child into their setting. It will provide awareness and general information to early care and education professionals so they have the confidence and knowledge to successfully include all children.

This module emphasizes the importance of understanding and noticing the development of each child. Professionals will learn about using developmental monitoring and screening tools to learn about each child’s strengths and areas of concern, effective ways to share information with families, and how to identify resources to support all children.

This module is a first step in building the confidence and competence of early care and education professionals to welcome all children into your settings. Modules have received the Ohio Approved (OA) designation. Modules are also eligible for Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities continuing professional development (CPD) unit in the area of developmental specialist/supervisor, EI service coordinator/supervisor.
