What is the Inclusive Child Care Program (ICCP) Child Scholarship?

The ICCP Child Scholarship is available for families who have been denied publicly funded child care (PFCC) due to being over income (over 145% FPL), are under 200% FPL, and attend an ICCP designated program. Children must have an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) or an Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Who is eligible for the ICCP Child Scholarship?

Children who have an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) or Individualized Education Plan (IEP) under the age of 18.

Who receives the scholarship funds?

Scholarship funds are available for ICCPs that are both PFCC and non-PFCC (private pay) child care centers, family child care home providers, approved day camps, and Department of Children & Youth (DCY) preschool and school-age programs.

How much will the ICCP Child Scholarship provide?

ICCP-designated programs will receive $500 per month when a child meeting the eligibility criteria is approved and has attended the ICCP at least one day per month.

How long does the scholarship last?

Payments will continue for care provided through August 31, 2024, or until funds are depleted.

How To Apply

To Do:

  1. Prepare the following information needed for the application:
    • Your household information
    • Your family’s financial information
    • Your child’s information (Name, Date of Birth, Relationship to Applicant, and checkbox for IFSP or IEP)
  2. Complete the Inclusive Child Care Program (ICCP) Child Scholarship Application
    • Note: Both your signature and your provider’s signature are required.
  3. Gather the following documents:
    • A copy of your denial letter for publicly funded child care dated within 60 days of application.
    • A copy of your child’s IFSP or IEP.
  4. Send your completed application and additional documents (PFCC denial letter and IFSP/IEP) to ChildCarePrograms@jfs.ohio.gov
    • Use the subject line “ICCP Child Scholarship”

You and your child’s provider will be notified once your application is processed.
